Gordie Day/Fundraiser

Saturday, 9/20/2008 Buck and Verna Mowday along with family and friends had a fundraiser event for our family. It included a motorcycle ride, car show, barbeque chicken and breakfast. The weather was absolutely perfect. There were about 40 bikes that showed up for the ride and a dozen or so cars. It was a fun day of fellowship, food and fun. The fastest amish buggy in the world was there too courtesy of Jim Groff and his son Doug. All in all it was a great day. I am so thankful for everyone that made this day a success. The proceeds will help with bathroom modifications and other things insurance will not cover. I can't express my gratitude enough for everyone that donated and volunteered. I am blessed to have such caring people surrounding me and my family as we cope with this dreadful disease and the difficulties that it presents.
I got to ride in that buggy, very fast!

hi gordie!

this is the first time i have read your blog. sorry we missed your day, i was attending a conference and robert decided to come along for the ride, so we were both away. i heard good things and hope to make it next year even though we don't have a cycle.

thanks for attending our grand opening - it meant a lot to all of us to have you there. thanks, too for being the example that you are to so many of us - you really are an inspiration.

blessings!!
